How to choose
For free screen recording on Windows, the catalog currently offers OBS Studio. It can combine a desktop, application windows and audio sources, making it useful for tutorials, gameplay recordings and live broadcasts.
Before a long recording, make a short test with the microphone and system audio enabled. Check that the right window is captured and that the sound does not echo. Resolution, frame rate and encoder settings affect both PC load and output size.
